LITERACY

Students in kindergarten through third grade build their literacy skills on a strong foundation of phonics through the Fundations and Heggerty curricula.  Through the Wit and Wisdom curriculum, students are engaged in rich in depth content studies by reading grade level complex texts and writing about their learning.

MATH

Our math curriculum is Eureka Math Squared which is fully aligned to the New York State Standards.   This will support our students in building not only conceptual math understanding but also proficiency in mathematical practices. The goal is to prepare students to be able to reason and communicate mathematically by being flexible and strategic in their thinking.

SOCIAL STUDIES

Social Studies is an integral part of our curriculum, and we use the New York City Social Studies Scope and Sequence to guide our decisions about the content we teach. All grades have designed their own interdisciplinary social studies units of study that culminate in a project that's displayed at our schoolwide Curriculum Fair.
